Laundered Notes

One criminal in Louisiana was tracked down in one of the most unconventional ways imaginable. A couple of days after having held up a bank, he took all his shirts to the laundry as usual. The assistant went through his pockets to make sure there was nothing valuable in them, as she did with all the clothes she washed. As well as a little loose change, she was surprised to find a ransom note written on the back of a bank slip. Thinking it was probably a joke, she nevertheless called the police, who were able to identify the note as the one used by the perpetrator of a recent bank robbery. When the man returned to collect his washing, they were waiting to arrest him.
