Innocent Mistake

A man on a busy underground train on his way to work felt himself suddenly being jostled as the train braked unexpectedly. Feeling in his trouser pocket he realized his wallet had gone missing. Furious, he turned to the young man who had fallen against him and demanded, 'Give me the wallet!' The man stared at him in shock but handed over the wallet before hurriedly getting off at the next stop.

When the man arrived at work, however, he found a message from his wife telling him that he had left his wallet at home. He had to go to the police station and sheepishly hand the wallet in!
