False Alibi
A suspected drug dealer in Quebec was arrested, and the police went round
to his house that same afternoon. They found over twenty thousand pounds in cash
stashed under the floorboards. The reason the dealer's mother gave for having
such a large amount of cash was that she was saving up to buy a prosthetic leg
for her son. The police were not fooled for a second by this excuse - the boy
had spent much of the morning running away from them on two perfectly sound legs!
