Burglar-Friendly House!

A man who had just robbed a large sprawling mansion in Beverly Hills decided it was safest to exit via the garage at the back. However, he was not able to open the garage door as it was jammed and the automatic control was broken. When he tried to re-enter the house, he found that the door had locked when he pulled it shut behind him. He knew from watching the house for several weeks beforehand that the owners had gone on holiday, but had no way of knowing when they were due back. The only sustenance he had was a large bottle of mineral water and tins of dog food which he managed to eke out until the family returned ten days later. He then sued the family's insurance company for the physical and mental stress he had endured. He won the case and was awarded nearly a quarter of a million dollars in compensation!
