Flattened

A middle-aged man decided to kill his wife by pushing her out of the window of the ninth-storey flat they shared, thinking he could easily explain her death by saying she had fallen out. After pushing her, he looked out of the window and saw to his dismay that she was not quite dead. Impetuously, he decided that the best way to finish her off before she told anyone what he had done was to jump out after her and land on top of her. Unfortunately for him, he missed.
