A Bouncing Brick

A passerby was bemused to find a man lying unconscious on the pavement in the early hours of the morning, a brick lying near his head. Thinking that he had been assaulted, she alerted the police as well as calling an ambulance. The police also thought that he had been hurt and it wasn't until the man came to and sheepishly admitted the truth that they called off their hunt for the attacker. He explained that he had gone to a liquor store to get some vodka, but that it had been shut as it was well after closing time. Desperate for a drink, he had then decided to throw a brick through the window. What he hadn't realized was that the glass was shatterproof - the brick had bounced straight back at him and struck him on the forehead!
