Surrender Not!
A man in Brazil who had terrorized his neighbours with a gun retreated to
his own house. When the police arrived he refused to come out, threatening to
shoot any officer who came near. The police evacuated the immediate area and laid
siege to the building. It was several hours before one of the officers noticed
that the man had somehow escaped and was standing behind the police barricades
shouting, 'Come out with your hands up!' at the empty house!
