Many Crimes?
A man from a small town near Swansea was stopped on the street by the police
in a routine stop-and-search exercise. Finding a lot of money on his person, they
questioned him about it, suspecting that it could be linked to the bank robbery
that had taken place in the town the previous day. Obviously not the quickest
thinker in the world, the man told them that the money had nothing to do with
the robbery, but that he was a drug dealer, and the money was the proceeds from
his business. When the police replied that if it was drug money they would have
to confiscate it, the man blurted out, 'No, no, you can't take it. It didn't all
come from the bank robbery, at least fifty pounds of it's mine, fair and square!'
- thus dropping himself right in it!
