93-year-old woman jailed over banana row

A 93-year-old woman has been jailed for four months after being found guilty of damaging her son's banana plants.
Esther Kaburu was jailed after failing to pay a £46 fine.
She admitted in court she had slashed 12 banana stems worth about £52 because of a dispute with her daughter-in-law.
Kaburu was charged with the malicious damage of property, reports the East African Standard.
She was led from the court weeping before being taken to notorious Kenyan jail, King'ong'o GK Prison in Nyeri.
