Pong-free trainers to be launched

A training shoe company has designed what it claims are odour-eating trainers.

After taking out patents on both sides of the Atlantic Adidas announced it will launch Intake in the UK next year.

The new shoes are lined with friendly bacteria which keep the shoes smelling fresh and clean.

A spokesman said: "If Intake is successful, we could explore the possibility of using the technology on our clothing range."

The Daily Record reports the price of the shoe will be around Ł60.
