Student to shovel manure after urinating in classmate's drink

A teenager in Indiana who urinated in a classmate's drink has been ordered to do shovel manure at a police horse stables.

Zachary Pyles was convicted in Anderson City Court of criminal mischief after urinating in the glass when his classmate was out of the room.

Judge Donald Phillippe said he would have hit the 19-year-old on the nose if he'd been allowed. His victim, Jamie Saylor, sipped her drink before realising it had been tampered with.

After he has completed his 60 hours' community service, he will be on probation for six months and will have to attend a course teaching him how it feels to be a victim of crime.

"Every time you pick up manure down there, I want you to think about what you've done," Judge Phillippe said. "I consider it a type of mischief that can lead you right into the reformatory."

"Personally, if I was allowed to, I would just get off the bench and hit you in the nose," the judge added.

According to the Herald Bulletin, Judge Phillippe warned Pyles if he doesn't successfully complete his probation, he'll spend six months in jail.

Pyles was expelled from Highland High School after the February incident. He graduated from Anderson's alternative school.
