Friday, November 16, 2001
Loudspeakers are being installed alongside railway lines in Sweden, to scare reindeer off the tracks.
The speakers blast out music and talk shows throughout the winter.
Up to 700 reindeer a year are killed by trains, after wandering onto the tracks.
According to The Independent, it's costing almost two hundred thousand pounds a year to remove their carcasses.
