89-year-old reverses into neighbour's living room
Thursday, November 15, 2001
An elderly New Zealand woman reversed into her neighbour's living room as she tried to park her car.
The 89-year-old then crashed into her own garage at Summerset Retirement Village in Levin.
She suffered cuts and a broken nose but nobody else was hurt.
Sergeant Mark Toms says the woman apparently accelerated at speed out of the living room, removing a window frame in the process.
She then hit her own garage, crashing into a washing machine and freezer, reports the Manawatu Evening Standard.
